Contract Award: Horizon View, Westward Ho!

We’re thrilled to share that BuildX has been appointed preferred contractor for the façade remediation works at Horizon View, Westward Ho!, following a rigorous two-stage tender process.

This important project includes the full removal of the existing EPS external wall insulation system, which will be replaced with a non-combustible mineral wool EWI system, finished in a high-performance silicone render.

In addition, the scope will cover the replacement of walkway soffits and a series of associated mechanical and electrical upgrades, all delivered in line with the latest fire safety regulations and building compliance standards.

Our Stage 1 proposal was recognised for its quality, transparency, and methodical approach to safety and delivery, earning the confidence of the Board of Directors and the client team.

We’ll soon be entering into a Pre-Construction Services Agreement (PCSA) to develop the design and guide the project through Gateway 2, ensuring full alignment with the Building Safety Act and the evolving requirements of the Building Safety Regulator (BSR).

We’re pleased to once again be collaborating with the expert team at Bailey Partnership, who will support us on the design and fire engineering aspects. We’re also looking forward to working closely with GATES CONSULTANTS, acting as Employer’s Agent and Clerk of Works on behalf of the client.
