On 23 October 2025, we proudly mark five years since BuildX (SW) Ltd was incorporated — a major milestone for our team and a moment to reflect on how far we’ve come.
From those early days to a thriving business with a strong forward order book, we’ve grown through hard work, collaboration, and a commitment to delivering quality and reliability across every project.
Today, BuildX is powered by 12 office-based & management staff, 20+ full-time operatives, and a trusted subcontract supply chain, supported by a fleet of 12 vans proudly flying the BuildX livery across the South West.
Over the past five years, we’ve developed specialist expertise in:
• Social Housing renovation and refurbishment – improving the quality and comfort of homes for tenants while supporting local authorities and housing associations in maintaining safe, compliant, and energy-efficient properties.
• Commercial refurbishment and improvement projects – delivering modern, functional and sustainable workspaces that help our clients maximise the value and performance of their assets.
• Defence Infrastructure and Service Family Accommodation upgrades – providing essential upgrades and planned maintenance within secure environments, supporting those who serve by improving the living standards of service families.
• External façade systems, cladding and façade remediation – installing and maintaining high-performance envelope systems, from new installs to remedial works on existing properties.
• Fire Safety Works – undertaking compliance programmes including cladding replacement, compartmentation, and fire-stopping measures to ensure buildings meet the highest safety standards.
• Heating and Energy Efficiency programmes – delivering sustainable upgrades such as insulation, external wall systems, and heating improvements that reduce carbon emissions and tackle fuel poverty.
