We’re proud to share the successful completion of another important project—this time at the historic Captain’s House. Following our recent internal refurbishment and drainage works, VIVO Defence Services entrusted us to address a leaking fibreglass roof that was causing internal damage to this iconic building.
Leaking roofs are more than just an inconvenience; they pose a serious threat to the integrity of historic structures. To resolve the issue, we partnered with the skilled team at Stay Dry Roofing (SW) Ltd. Together, we implemented a thorough and effective solution to protect The Captain’s House from further damage.
Here’s what we did:
✅ Cleaned the Roof Thoroughly
We removed algae and debris to prepare the surface for repair.
✅ Primed and Reinforced Joints
Fast-coat matting was applied to all joints and upstands to ensure durability.
✅ Applied a Liquid Roofing System
The entire roof surface was coated with a high-performance liquid roofing system for a seamless and weatherproof finish.
The roof not only looks significantly cleaner but, more importantly, the water ingress issue has been fully resolved. This restoration ensures the Captain’s House is protected from further damage, preserving its historic value while maintaining its functionality for years to come.
This project showcases the power of teamwork. With the expertise of Stay Dry Roofing (SW) Ltd and the support of VIVO Defence Services, we were able to deliver a solution that blends preservation with practicality. It’s always rewarding to contribute to the care of historic buildings, ensuring their stories endure.
Here’s to preserving history and protecting the future!
