Charity Rally

BUILDX SW’S Commercial Director and Site Supervisor are teaming up to compete in this years Two Ball Rally for charity.

Jon and Matt have been working tirelessly on Mavis, their 1999 Mercedes CLK 320, to get her ready for the summer.

This Summer competition involves driving over 2000 miles in just 7 days, the route below takes them through France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy and Monaco.

Their chosen charity is Beat SCAD, they are a patient-led charity whose mission is: Awareness, Support & Research.

Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection (SCAD) is an under diagnosed heart condition that currently cannot be predicted or prevented. SCAD patients have few or none of the traditional risk factors associated with heart disease, making it hard to diagnose.

Beat SCAD focus on raising awareness among health care professionals and those who have had a SCAD diagnosis, providing support for SCAD patients as well as family and friends. They also focus on raising funds for research.

SCAD can be fatal, cause heart failure, cardiac arrest, require heart bypass surgery, stents or medical management. You can find out more about SCAD and the charity by visiting www.beatscad.org.uk
