BuildX (SW) Ltd is on site at the Rivage Apartments on Plymouth Hoe, delivering external façade remediation and fire barrier works. The company won the contract through a competitive tender. Bailey Partnership is acting as Contract Administrator and leading the design.
Work began with mobilisation in April and is planned to run for around 54 weeks. The programme covers a full set of improvements to the building’s external envelope, including:
Early work focused on de-risking key elements of the job, such as the temporary works design, to set the project up for smooth and efficient delivery.
The Hoe is one of Plymouth’s busiest spots, especially during the summer holidays. The site team has worked hard to protect residents, visitors and passers-by from the works. A recent independent site inspection praised the high standard of health and safety on display.
Resident and tenant engagement is a core priority throughout the project. BuildX is working closely with the people who live in the building and its commercial occupiers to minimise disruption and keep day-to-day life running as normally as possible.
BuildX is proud to be working alongside Bailey Partnership, Smeaton Block Management Ltd and the wider project team to deliver a high-quality, safer building for everyone who lives there.
